The Chau Law Firm, P.C. was established by Jennifer Kim Chau in 2011. Jennifer hails from Palacios, Texas. She graduated from Palacios High School in 2000. In 2002, at the age of 19, she received her bachelor’s degree, with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. In 2006, she received her master’s degree, concentrating in Criminal Justice and Communications. Both degrees were earned at the University of Houston-Victoria. She then attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she received her Juris doctorate in 2010, concentrating in Litigation. Jennifer is licensed to practice in the State of Texas and is also admitted to the United States District Court – Southern District of Texas. Jennifer was the first person ever elected as a Vietnamese-American County Attorney in the State of Texas and proudly served from 2021 until 2024 in Matagorda County. Jennifer is also certified as an attorney ad litem and a mediator. Jennifer approaches her legal work as her ministry in service to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
